Posted by Ashley Wright

As we attempt to make it through the upcoming brisk temperatures that winter often brings, warmer weather can seem completely out of reach. However, trust me when I say that it will be worth the wait if you plan on taking a seaside getaway in the spring!

Many events over the past two years may have been canceled or rescheduled, but the yachting world is making up for lost time in 2022. Whether you’re a nautical nerd or a boating beginner, the yachting industry’s spring 2022 calendar is filled with events that you won’t want to miss. So, what are some of the top yachting events in Spring 2022?

This exclusive, invitation-only event features exhilarating races and an extensive itinerary of remarkable marine participant activities. Yachts are split into six classes based on performance, a racing event that takes place over the course of three days. The casual Caribbean atmosphere allows for smooth sailing and a relaxing time for you and your guests.

There are also several prizes available, such as the Perini Navi Cup, granted to the greatest participating Perini Navi sailing yacht. Awards are presented daily, then the event is concluded with a final awards ceremony and party on the last day. Today, it is the second most popular week on the island.

Returning to Nanny Cay for its 49th edition, this five-day event is comprised of races, sailing, and unique festivities. The 2022 festival will begin with a race on March 29 for the Nanny Cay Cup, with awards presented at the Regatta Village. On the following day, March 30, sailors will do a quick morning race, then enjoy an afternoon BBQ with games and tranquility. This allows guests to explore the scenic British Virgin Islands. The fourth day of the event is more of time for leisure. Registration, complete with live music and a Welcome Party begins at noon. The last three days are full of races, but there are also boats, courses, and parties for non-participants. Festival organizers claim that this event has some of the best racing in the Caribbean. See for yourself by attending next year’s regatta!

In a thrilling battle, sailors at this event will race along the beautiful Costa Smeralda waters. The competition lasts four days and contains three distinctive divisions: Cruising, Performance, and Southern-Winds. There are over fifty courses, with race circuits based off weather conditions. This is not an event exclusive to sailors – visitors can also participate in networking events, simply be a competition spectator, and more. The gorgeous location is unmatched!
